We are currently looking for a Marketing & Communications Assistant to join our Marketing team.
This is a great opportunity if you are interested in progressing a Marketing career and committed to learning from a supportive team. The role will proactively support our Marketing & Communications Manager and cover a variety of marketing activities. This will include creating content for both online and offline communication channels, writing and scheduling engaging posts for social media, as well as internal communications. You will also be responsible for assisting various marketing campaigns, supporting the sale of our shared ownership homes, and providing event support throughout the year.
A key priority for the Marketing & Communications Assistant is to support in the management of Saxon Weald’s social media channels. This includes regularly monitoring their activity, and ensuring comments and messages received are responded to promptly and with care.
In this role, you will also be responsible for writing a range of content to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy, and that all communications are in line with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations). An eye for detail is therefore an essential skill for this role.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- have a passion for writing and experience producing content whilst studying or in your personal time
- have had involvement in organising and executing events in your personal life, in hospitality or during your studies
- be creative, ambitious and excited to learn
- have excellent writing, communication, and proofreading skills, with a critical eye for detail
- make a varied and valuable contribution to the Marketing & Communications team
- be personable, confident, enthusiastic, and have a positive attitude
- be a great team player
- have a driving license and access to a vehicle
- flexible working between our modern, newly refurbished office in central Horsham and fully supported home working
- 27 days annual leave per annum, plus bank holidays (based on working 5 days per week)

Our Marketing & Communications team is responsible for effectively communicating key messages and information to Saxon Weald’s internal and external customers. They are also responsible for providing a professional service across the organisation, to ensure the profile of the company is maintained at a high level. This includes campaigns to support the sale of our shared ownership homes, the creation of our own publications, organisation of corporate events, as well as maintaining our websites and internal communication platform, Workplace. The team also pride themselves on maintaining excellent internal relationships and contributing towards Saxon Weald being a great place to work
