**The Role**

The job role of the Assistant Buyer at The Couture Club is to assist and provide essential support with delivering a profitable range across Menswear, Womenswear and Kidswear. You will need to manage administrative tasks such as the critical path, making sure it’s running smoothly and lateness is minimised. To build close relationships with your suppliers, as well as the fashion brand's Merchandisers and Designers.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
Own and manage all aspects of the critical path daily with the team and suppliers to ensure deadlines for key delivery dates are met and launches are achieved

Provide administrative support to the product team covering all classes of issues and queries relating to product

Attending and contributing to Monday trade. Reviewing previous sales, best and worst and relaying vital information back to the wider teams.

Sample management: working with our supply base to track development samples, production samples and shoot samples for ecomm and campaign photography. General sample organisation, arranging for meetings and sign offs

Carrying out online comparative shopping and trend analysis to develop and maintain knowledge of the current competitive marketplace

Build and maintain strong working relationships with supply base

Request and negotiate cost prices with suppliers and updating range plans as required

Take ownership of buyers development styles and work on sourcing and strategy alongside Head of Buying & Design to ensure strong and cohesive ranges across all categories.

Report and effectively communicate all key information to Head of Buying & Design

Attends fit meetings and flags any potential issues with lines in relation to fit process

Willing to travel when required by the business

**Skills Required**:
Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines

Confident in ability to manage, motivate and work effectively within a small team

Have a good understanding of the fashion industry and basic understanding of supply chain

Able to multi-task and be highly efficient and proactive

A passion and enthusiasm for The Couture Club brand and what we represent

Fluent use of Microsoft Office - in particular Outlook, Excel and Power Point

Strong commercial awareness of Retail industry
