Control Room Operative

**About The Role**:
Operate the Milling, Decanting, Animal Feed Drying, Pelleting, and Liquefaction areas of the Bio-Ethanol plant, including associated utilities, using the Emerson Delta V DCS system. Ensure that all systems are operated safely, efficiently and with maximum availability, and that emergency systems are maintained in a state of readiness and availability.

Operate the Distillation, Evaporation, Molecular Sieve Dehydration, Chemical Storage, and Ethanol Storage areas of the Bio-Ethanol plant, including associated utilities, using the Emerson Delta V DCS system. Ensure that all systems are operated safely, efficiently and with maximum availability, and that emergency systems are maintained in a state of readiness and availability.

**Key Responsibilities**

An assessed knowledge of the following, based on the Competence Standard for role:

- Distillation, Evaporation, Molecular Sieve Dehydration, Chemical Storage, and Ethanol Storage areas managed from the CCR, including utilities for these areas
- Ensuring full compliance with VFL operating standards and procedures
- Monitor the area under control and respond to deviations from setpoints and alarms, maintaining product specification
- Carry out emergency response duties as per Vivergo and site emergency plans
- Ensuring that batch and continuous operation and cleaning activities are expedited in a safe and timely manner ensuring continuous production of product to the correct quality
- Interactions within the bio-ethanol shift team, contributing direction to outside technicians and assistance to others
- Compiling and maintaining an accurate record of shift activities and conducting a formal hand over to oncoming shift team colleagues

- Have an awareness of the ISO management systems that the company adheres to for Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Energy and Quality Management (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 5001 & ISO 9001)
- Follow company policies, procedures and arrangements to ensure compliance with the management systems for ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001 & ISO9001

**Compliance - Responsibilities for the role under FEMAS**
- To have an understanding of FEMAS (Feed Materials Assurance Scheme) requirements and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
- To comply with company policies, procedures and requirements to ensure animal feed safety is maintained at all times
- To report any issues, incidents or events that could compromise animal feed safety or that are a breach of FEMAS or HACCP requirements

**About You**:
**Knowledge - skills and experience required**
- Experience of a production role in a control room is preferred
- Demonstrated experience on a COMAH site is preferred
- Knowledge of ATEX an advantage
- Proficient in IT, especially Microsoft Office products
- This is a shift-based role so weekend and night shift working is expected
