**ROLE: Payroll Officer**

**SALARY: £25-28k based on experience**

**LOCATION: Office based 4 days per week in Childwall & 1 day per week in Chester**

The Group is part of a large international company which is rapidlyexpanding in the UK with ambitions to become one of the leading brands in care services.

The Payroll Officer will report directly to the Regional Finance Director and will be responsible for processing and managing the payroll functions for 2 companies. The position will be primarily based in Childwall but travel to our Chester office will alsobe required. They will work closely with both companies to ensure payroll deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained. This is a full time role.

This role will suit a highly motivated, analytical and versatile team player, who possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This is a hands-on role and the applicant must show an ability to work successfully as part of a passionate and growingteam; be proactive and show initiative.

**Key Deliverables**
- Running the payrolls from start to finish for 4 weekly and weekly payrolls
- Processing Starters and Leavers
- Tax - Processing the P45’s and Starter Checklist forms
- Keeping the Sage Payroll up to date
- Keeping accurate holiday records
- Processing the SSP, SMP and SPP
- P60and P11d preparation and submission
- Year End processing
- All HMRC Returns
- Processing of Court Orders
- Processing of leavers for Real Time Information
- Administrating and processing payments to the Pension Scheme provider
- Preparing data from roster systems to upload into Payroll

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Good knowledge of the current legislation rules in Payroll
- At least 3 years relevant experience in Payroll

- Excellent telephone manner
- Good written, verbal and numeracy skills
- Able to demonstrate attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Use of initiative to deal with enquiries and or problems

- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team

**_Accounting Software_**

Sage Payroll - Sage Payroll knowledge will be desirable but not essential

Good knowledge and proficiency in Excel is preferable
