**Location**: Hybrid - Office & WFH (Cambridgeshire or Cornwall)

**Hours**: 32 hours across a 4-day week (no salary sacrifice)

**Job snapshot**:
As Wonde continues to scale, we're looking to appoint a senior in-house legal counsel to join our legal team. This is an exciting time to consider joining Wonde as this opportunity will play a pivotal role in shaping the team and supporting our growth, bothnationally and internationally.

As in-house legal counsel, you'll be assisting and supporting the executive team on legal matters across the domestic and international sides of the business. You will become the first point of contact for legal matters including but not limited to commercialcontracts, data protection; IP licensing agreements and employment matters.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Draft, review and negotiate a diverse range of commercial contracts supporting all Wonde products
- Assist in building a smart legal function (including contract lifecycle management system) to enable the business in meeting its vision and objectives
- Providing first line legal support to the business on a variety of matters including data protection, commercial contracts and employment matters
- Support the development of internal approval processes and policies
- Provide proactive legal advice of up and coming developments relevant to the business
- Support the implementation of company-wide legal initiatives and standards
- Identify business risks & opportunities with the ability and focus to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions on such matters
- Assist in the creation and maintaining of contract templates to reflect changes in business and law
- Embed and embrace Wonde's culture to ensure legal's function is aligned with goals and mission
- Research regulatory guidelines to ensure we adhere to relevant compliance requirements
- Monitor and report on the performance of legal function

**Requirements**:
**What we're hoping you'll bring**:

- At least 3 years PQE in private practice or an in-house environment
- Commercial awareness with knowledge and understanding of business drivers
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and learn in an ever-changing environment
- Ambition and initiative to drive change in an evolving sector
- Ability to prioritise workflow and ensure deadlines are met
- Strong 'can do' mentality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral with a high degree of attention to detail
- Good attitude towards individual and team success
