You'll be working for British Gypsum, based out of East Leake, but with travel to mines across five locations (Notts, Derby, Staffordshire, West Sussex and Cumbria). British Gypsum is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and the isthe UK's leading manufacturer of interior lining systems.

**Is this role right for me?**

First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working; For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following education and experience;
- Degree in Mining Engineering
- Experience with common Mining Software packages (geotechnical & ventilation modelling, scheduling)
- Ideally some underground experience, although this is advantageous, not a necessity

**What will I be doing in the role?**

This team supports five underground mines and one opencast mine in the UK and a mining operation in Ireland. Our primary objective is to ensure that the mining operations are planned and operated to achieve the highest possible levels of safety.

The Geological & Mining Services team comprises of 21 professional surveyors; geology specialists, mining engineers; mechanical and electrical engineers
- Practical Mining Operations
- Environmental Monitoring
- Computer modelling
- Surveying and Mine planning
