Accounts Administrator

As the local property market leader, we’re seeking an Accounts Administrator to join our ever-expanding team at our Albany Road, Roath branch. We are considering both full-time, as well as, part-time permanent positions.
**Responsibilities will include**
- Receipting all transactions accurately and efficiently
- Allocating funds on account, paying attention to individual tenants liability where there’s a joint tenancy in place, and that any rent in advance is receipted on the individual Tenants account
- Checking invoices are input correctly each month, before raising, removing duplicates and amending apportioned amounts
- Pursuing debtors, mostly Tenant or Landlord, ensuring the collection of funds or setting up of payment plans
- Process monthly Landlord statements, when applicable
- Prompt handling of utility bills in our name or that of the Landlord
- Preparing annual tax statements for Clients
- Action refunds, following our standard procedure to check data protection & any joint accounts
- Liaising with landlords in regards to their statement deductions or any funds / rental arrears outstanding and what’s being done.
- Registering deposits within a timely manner and processing bonds returns, where necessary
- Changing names on the DPS website, where one or more tenant has changed partway through a tenancy
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Invoicing our Let Only Clients, where applicable, or using funds on account towards the Letting Fee & any other charges, as applicable
- Ensure that Landlord letting fee invoices are raised in a timely basis and in line with agreed terms
- Ongoing assessment and improvement of financial accounting processes
- Assistance with month end accounting processes
- Ensure that utility contracts are paid in a timely manner, ensuring prices are in line with supplier agreements.
- Banking cash and cheque deposits regularly
- Carry out other duties as may reasonably be required and assigned by the business
**Skills and experience**:
- No experience is required for this role; just enthusiasm and drive to succeed, along with commitment to hard work
- We will provide full support and training
