**Transport Manager (Senior Assistant)**

This would be a good role for a Transport supervisor in a larger organistation, looking to take a step up.

We are an Italian, family run business, which manufactures specialist Italian cheese, meats and fresh pasta. We are leading importers and distributors of Italian foods, wines and provisions. We are a well established business, which delivers our products nationwide who are known throughout the wholesale, catering and restaurateur trade.

We are based very close to transport links and only a short walk from **Kings Cross, Caledonian Road Area. (N7 Area)**

We are looking for a Assistant (Senior) Transport Manager, or a Transport Supervisor from a larger retail background who has a can-do attitude to become a key part of our Transport Team.

This is a family run business and have approx 40 drivers leave our main Depot in London daily. A Transport Supervisor or Assistant transport Manager would assist a transport manager, other supervisors and trainers in the team.

**The role**:

- **Team Management** - Have experience managing a large team of drivers, and understands induction and HR requirements, and managing holiday and rotas for 40 + team. Supports the transport manager to manage the team, motivating, communicating and ensuring standards and practises and training are being delivered to the team.
- **Team Player & Hands on - **ready to jump in and help the team at any opportunity
- **Compliance** Paperwork. Must have a good working knowledge of compliance
- Good **routing** knowledge. knows the London and UK areas
- **Administrative**:

- good with paperwork and has attention to detail
- **People person** - a good clear communicator
- **Delivering to our customers**. doesn't have an issue getting in a vehicle and delivering to customers if emergency cover is needed

Transport Supervisor experience will be a real plus. Management experience is essential for this role.

**How it works**:

- Contract of 48 hrs
- Monday - Friday. & 1 Saturday a month
- (The Saturday is a 6am - 12.30pm shift)
- 6am start.
- 32 Days Holiday (Including Bank Holidays)

Salary - £32 - £34k - willing to review alongside probation.
