I’m working with a long-established scientific software house in Newcastle to recruit a fully remote AWS DevOps Engineer who is looking for an influential role where you can work as part of a small DevOps team to help define the DevOps processes and toolingas they build out their Cloud and DevOps approach.

As the successful DevOps Engineer your role will involve:

- Helping to define the DevOps approach and tooling.
- Building and maintaining the Cloud and CI/CD environment
- Application security
- Optimising the performance, resilience and observability of their production and test environments.

Whilst focused on Cloud platforms you will also require skills with On-premise solutions as they are running a Hybrid environment with both Linux Servers and AWS. Ideally they would love to find someone with skils in both Linux and Windows environments.You will bring proven skills in automating the build and deployment process by writing automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash or Python and have experience with other configuration management and monitoring tools.
