**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Quality Manager - Surface Treatment

This is a rare opportunity to join an established UK subsidiary of a €300m+ global surface engineering business looking to elevate their UK offering with the appointment of an engineering biased, 'hands on' Quality Manager.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**: Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Manager - Surface Treatment

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be an active and valued member within a small team. You will have the full support, guidance and 1-2-1 training from both the UK General Manager and associated Group colleagues.

In addition, you will actively collaborate with those Group colleagues to establish continuity and consistency of Group QC systems and standards world-wide.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**: Quality Manager - Surface Treatment
- Ultimately, you will be a technically minded manager qualified through experience or education within an engineering discipline, preferably to degree level (metallurgical, chemical or mechanical) as well as:

- Prior experience in chemical surface or heat treatment industry.
- A demonstrable experience of PPAP, FMEA and internal and external quality audit systems and management.
- Thorough understanding and experience of ISO 9001:2015.
- Be self-motivated and able to work with a high level of autonomy.
- Display a strong eye for detail, be able to problem solve through quickly assessing the problem, devising, and implementing remedial or preventive measures.
- Have strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Be an active team player, someone who can operate effectively both individual and collectively.
