Our client is offering a fantastic leadership opportunity for a procurement professional to join a UK strategic team within a global business. The Category Manager will take a pro-active role in supporting the development of the Procurement strategy, categorydevelopment and category projects with a broad area of spend responsibility across technical, engineering & multi-media.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in managing multi-category operational procurement spend, which will include IT, Multimedia or Engineering
- Mentoring or team leadership experience
- Ensure product quality, availability & cost adhere to project requirements and delivery timescales
- Drive the implementation of the Procurement E-Platform
- Manage and report procurement project activity, ensuring clear visibility of status and milestones.
- Analysis of spend data through dashboard reporting.
- Supplier and supply chain development ensuring best practice solutions on an ongoing basis
- Liaising with global procurement teams to ensure alignment in procurement strategy and delivery.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a similar role

- Leadership skills
- Excellent stakeholder relationship development skills
- Experienced user of IT Systems and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to support change management
- Ability to travel overseas as required
- Degree/MCIPS preferred
