Care Navigator/receptionist

The role includes working within a busy reception area assisting patients with appointments face to face, or by telephone, dealing with queries from external agencies, as well as administrative duties. Church Walk Surgery develops and builds a multi skilled team, therefore all roles are adaptable. You will receive training so you can be a flexible member of the team to enable the practice to function at all times, particularly in times of staff absence. Receptionist duties/skills: Excellent customer service skills Good working knowledge of Word, email, internet etc Flexibility & enthusiasm for the job Booking appointments face to face and via telephone Dealing with patient prescription requests and queries Liaising with other community service providers such as hospitals, other GPs Handling requests from patients and GPs or local pharmacy enquiries Administration: Scanning and read coding Organising referrals for secondary care specialities Reviewing notes/notes summarising Registering new patients Ringing patients to book appointments for appropriate clinics
