Roofing Estimator

Key tasks for the role include:

- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
- Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals in a timely manner
- Maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide regular reports to management
- Attend on-site meetings when required.
- Other responsibilities for this particular post contribute to the successful delivery of the full range of functions of the Commercial team.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry within the Flat roofing industry to include Single Ply, Built up Felt, Liquid Applied & Hot Melt
- Strong knowledge of roofing industry practices, costs, processes, and requirements
- Positive with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques
- Proficient PC skills in excel, word, outlook, also estimating software and tools (Estimate, Planswift)
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in Industrial /Commercial Roofing a and/or Traditional pitch roofing an advantage.
