Senior Operations Planner

Beeline Personnel are delighted to be working with a leading innovative heathcare consultancy. My Client is an established and leading consultant in the field of NHS service, capital and estates planning. The role of the Senior Operations Planner is to support the NHS and other healthcare / partner organisations within the UK as well as overseas.
The Senior Operations Planner will be expected to operate as part of a team providing specialist advice to clients across a spectrum of capital and service development projects and across all sectors of the health service.

The primary objective of the Senior Operations Planner is to provide advice and support to theNHS, and to those parties working with the NHS, in the ongoing development and improvement of healthcare services and facilities which are of high clinical quality and financially sustainable.

The following is a schedule of the main duties which the Senior Operations Planner will be required to perform as required on individual projects:
Lead the preparation, development and finalisation of a range of strategic documents/reports.

These fall into a number of categories as summarised below:
**STRATEGIC DOCUMENTS**: including recommendations on options for service
reconfiguration, feasibility studies for new developments or refurbishments of existing
sites, new models of care, and future activity and capacity requirements;
**BUSINESS CASES AND SUPPORTING INFORMATION**: where a working knowledge and understanding of the range of NHS business cases and their approval process is desired;
**SITE MASTER-PLANNING DOCUMENTS**: including Development Control Plans, Concept Building Designs and Building Plans at all scales through to 1:50 level;
**FUNCTIONAL BRIEFS, CLINICAL NARRATIVES AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTATION,** including:
Schedules of Accommodation, whole site and departmental adjacency requirements,
evidence-based compliance and technical exemplars;
The main office base is in Telford, Shropshire and the Senior Operations Planner will be expected to flexibly support projects throughout the UK at the client’s premises, which will require staff to stay overnight. In addition to supporting the NHS and UK service provider organisation,
My client has a growing portfolio of overseas clients and the Senior Operations Planner will be expected to support these projects in exactly the same way as for UK clients. This will include support from within the UK as well as a potential requirement for client facing work within the country of project origin.

Professional Qualifications / Training
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Post graduate qualification
- Healthcare related qualification (Desirable)
- Project Management qualification Desirable

Work Experience
- Good working knowledge of healthcare environment (NHS)
- Previous experience of writing successful business cases
- Previous experience of development of new services (clinical and
- or support services) Desirable
- Previous involvement in the design of healthcare facilities (Desirable)
- Project management experience

Knowledge
- Good understanding of the current and changing NHS environment
- Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
