HEAD OFFICE Cardiology Administrator The Cardiology department in our Leeds Hospital currently have an opportunity for an Administrator to join their team. The CQC highlighted that patient care was at the heart of the service and this is testimony to the commitment, skill and pride of the team at the hospital. Our highly successful, purpose-built hospital, deals with complex surgery and a vast range of specialities involving some 300 consultants. There are 80 bedrooms, an 8 bed Level 3 critical care unit and 6 theatres (2 Stryker laparoscopic and 2 laminar flow). These facilities, and high standards of care, make us one of the leading providers of private healthcare in the area. Find out more about our hospital The Role As a Cardiology Administrator you’ll be one of the first points of contact our patients meet. Sensitive to our customers’ needs, you’ll use your empathy and customer service skills to build positive relationships. You will really put people at ease when they visit the hospital. This is a varied role and your responsibilities will range from answering the phone, handling patient enquiries and booking appointments, through to welcoming patients in person, and directing them to the appropriate department. Crucially, you’ll also help the department to run smoothly by preparing clinical paperwork, referral forms, charge sheets, and terms and conditions. With great communication skills, you can explain sensitive or complicated information in a clear, sympathetic and easily understood way. Additionally, you will assist the clinical team of Cardiac Physiologists, Consultant Cardiologists and Cardiothoracic Surgeons in fulfilling the clinical admin and services provided within the department. The Person Ideally, you’ll have experience of working within healthcare administration or a relevant reception environment. You will certainly have good IT and keyboard skills. Experience of providing assistance to a clinical team is also desirable. The Benefits We want you to be the best you can be.
