Agora Talent are happy to be working with one of the fastest growing retailers on the market in the search for an Interim Head of Group Reporting.

Following a highly successful IPO last year, this Retail Group were valued at north of €5billion, a valuation that has propelled them up into the FTSE 100 in the UK. They’re outperforming the market in terms of growth, opening 400+ stores per year internationally.

Due to continued growth and movements within the team, they are now looking to bring in a high-calibre Head of Group Reporting to work closely with the Group Finance Director to consolidate and strengthen their finance team to ensure growth is optimisedand managed as effectively as possible. The Group Financial Accountant will be reporting into this role and will provide assistance and help throughout all processes and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Take ownership of financial reporting requirements for the Group ensuring the provision of clear and concise information.
- Responsible for certain key Group level accounting items such as impairment reviews, pensions, segmental information, share schemes, adjusting items.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with the Group CFO and FD as well as CFOs/FDs within the wider operating companies.
- Represent key stakeholders and lead group finance on project teams.
- Provide sound accounting advice to support investments and new business projects.
- Ensure statutory reporting needs (e.g. month, quarter, year-end reporting processes) are met through timely financial reporting.
- Help develop best practice procedures and improvements for both internal and external financial reporting, with a focus on automation.
- Provide assistance with preparation of Audit and be a key point of contact with our external auditors.
- Support analysis of Group cash flow and balance sheet.
- Manage the annual audit process with the FD, leading co-ordination of audit work for the Corporate entities and across the group.
- Provide assistance with the Annual Report and Interim process, with a focus on production of the back end.
- Produce annual statutory accounts for all subsidiary companies when required.
- Take ownership of the reporting for the corporate office entities monthly and present to CFO/FD.

About you:

- ACA or ACCA/CIMA equivalent qualification
- Strong academics
- Demonstrable technical reporting ability.
- Strong and relevant experience in a group financial reporting position.
- Experience within a highly professional, fast paced multi-national company.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a Retail environment preferrable
