Interpersonnel Recruitment (UK Ltd) is in partnership with the UK’s largest independently owned building materials Group to support their current search for a Marine Logistics and UK Transport Manager. Our client employs over 700 staff and due to increasedbusiness demands has created this brand-new role.

As Martine Logistics and UK Transport Manager you will be responsible for ensuring business demands are met, chartered vessels are fully equipped, day to day management of tanker fleet contracts, liaising with UK and EU contacts (across slightly differenttime zones) and ensuring correct HMRC paperwork is declared to customs.

**Further details of the role;**
- Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the most cost-efficient management of all vessels importing materials including the chartering and agreement of laycan dates between ship owners and material suppliers.
- Sourcing of additional vessels when necessary to meet demand
- Deliver the required stock levels to ensure all customers receive a consistent service.
- Daily instruction/communication with Masters, arranging port services, re-fuelling etc and all terminal staff.
- Co-ordinating and managing service levels for external tankers delivering to all company locations.
- Ensure all activities meet the organisation’s standard SHE performance levels.
- Excellent planning, organising and negotiation skills.
- Extensive knowledge of vessel chartering and management.
- Ability to produce voyage/laytime calculations and all performance statistics.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Desirable but not essential, formal SHE qualification and a good basic knowledge of foreign language.
