Support Worker

We are looking for Support Workers (either Bank or permanent) due to expansion of our service, to help cover either day or night shifts at our Supported Living Placements based in Eastbourne.
An individual with previous experience as a Support Worker would be helpful, who has completed their care certificate or another relevant health and social care qualification, although we will consider an individual willing to train in this role.
We are recruiting now.
We work with clients who may have diagnosis of mental health and /or learning disabilities and/ or physical health issues.
Our focus is supporting these clients to learn or refresh skills which will enable them to live more independently and enjoy a balanced lifestyle.
A desire to learn new skills, work in a team and a sense of humour is an absolute requirement
**Job Description**:
To assist and support client’s in individual/group activity, supporting them to work on their daily living skills.
To prompt with medication regimes
To enable clients to increase their capacity for independence and independent decision making
To report on any observed changes in mood or behaviour, health care needs or mental health care needs to the manager and if severe change to their care team
To liaise with the manager on all leave entitlements and adhere to the policies and procedures of TSHS
To contribute to effective team working and participate in staff meetings
To participate in staff training and other learning as required
To participate in TSHS development initiatives.
