We are seeking an exceptional individual to undertake the role of Head of Health Clinical Psychology Services. We require an individual of stature, capable of handling a complex and varied role driving forward a critical agenda including clinical governance, service transformation and patient experience.

The individual will take responsibility for leadership and management of the service, promoting quality, health and safety, workforce redesign and have financial control of the budget collaborating with a variety of key stakeholders across and external to the health board is essential.

The post holder will directly line and professionally manage Consultant Clinical Psychologists working in a variety of Health Psychology Services. Business cases for other new developments are underway and will require oversight by the post holder.

The post holder will become an integral member of the BCUHB Psychology Senior Leadership Team, helping to shape the strategic direction of Psychology within the health board.

The department has strong academic links with the School of Psychology, Bangor University, the post holder will ensure the availability of clinical placements for Trainee Clinical Psychologists of the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme within the field of Clinical Health Psychology.

In this critical portfolio, you will provide inspirational and dynamic professional leadership across the workforce to further enhance patient experience, clinical outcomes and the safety of our patients.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
