**About the role** As a Payroll Team Manager for Moorepay you'll be responsible for maximising the operational effectiveness of your team to provide a first class and quality payroll service to our clients. We are looking for someone from a payroll background with experiencemanaging a team and driving improvements. As a Payroll Team Manager, you will take ownership and accountability for your team and allocation of clients to support. You will manage the team to create a positive and accountable culture, working as "One Team" with other teams and departments, bothonshore and offshore. You will make decisions based on your knowledge and experience and be accountable for every aspect of the service provided by your team. You will be the driving force behind accurate and timely management of the payroll services, case management, team efficiencies and communications to our customers, working to mitigate risk and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. You'll manageand motivate a quality and customer focused team to deliver against business requirements in line with Zellis values and processes. Key responsibilities include: - Building a high performing payroll team_ - Developing a strong, client focused performance culture with clear objectives and key results (OKRs). - Recruiting and developing top talent in the team. - Developing a culture of continuous improvement with all colleagues, undertaking personal development either as part of their role, through online or face-to-face courses and mentoring / coaching. - Empowering, inspiring and motivating the payroll team to sustain high levels of engagement, quality, productivity and professionalism. - Delivering high quality client service to improve Net Promoter Score (NPS)_ - Delivering a quality service, on-time and accurate. - Managing resources to meet / exceed delivery schedules. - Taking ownership of service improvement initiatives driven out of the Moorepay NPS surveys. - Reviewing and acting upon all customer feedback; acting as a primary point of escalation for the client and make or execute recommendations for action / improvement. - Implementing specific improvement plans for individuals, teams or clients when delivery falls below the expected standards. **Skills and experience required**: - Experience of UK specific payroll legislation, administration, and support. - Excellent people management skills in relation to engagement, development and delivery. Proven ability in building and managing a high performing team. - Proven ability in building positive customer relationships. - Analytical thinking with the ability to identify and deliver on areas of continuous improvement. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - CIPP qualified or working at that level or possess a similar professional qualification (desirable). - Experience of operating within an outsourcing service provider (desirable). **About Us** Part of the Zellis Group, Moorepay is a team of over 500 friendly professionals across four offices in Manchester, Sheffield, Farnborough and Kochi (India).
