Trainee Metal Façade Estimator

Job Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- Completion of budget and full quotations on behalf of our clients.
- Understand architectural, and other specialist drawings, plans and specifications to provide take offs and quotations.
- Perform accurate project take-offs to the required level of detail utilising measuring take-off tools and software for precision.
- Establishing connections with various subcontractors, and specialists to allow smooth collaboration from enquiry to contract awarded.
- Proactively chasing subcontractors, and quotations to advance the tendering process.
- Executing assigned estimating tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Handling incoming telephone calls, managing messages or redirections as required maintaining clear communication.
- Working closely with your line Manager
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Cost Saving Solutions: Proactively identify potential innovative cost-saving solutions and value engineering opportunities to present to clients, enhancing competitiveness and maximizing project profitability.
- Keep an up-to-date log of current enquires and work to a logical grading system to prioritise work.
- Validate bulk orders based on quotations.
- Batching & phasing of quotations through the reading of schedules and inputting into Epicor system.
- Data input into our CRM System

**Skills**:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation
- Proficient in using cost estimating software and tools beneficial
- A keen interest in construction, architecture, or related field
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

Note: This is a paid position. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
