Working within the Financial Control team, the Projects Manager has responsibility for delivering on a wide range of projects to deliver strategic process improvements and efficiencies across the finance function. You will have responsibility for managinga wide range of senior internal and external stakeholders.

**Inside the role**:

- Track action plans for control deficiencies identified by Internal Audit, Operational Audit and the Financial Controls Framework (FCF), rolling out training and providing guidance to the business.
- Identify and communicate best practices which improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those controls.
- Working with a wide range of finance and non-finance stakeholders to delivering process efficiencies for the A&C team
- Perform external monitoring to identify key strategic opportunities and drive changes
- Identify instances of weak, ineffective or inefficient processes and controls and generate solutions for improvements in those instances.
- Ownership of key policies and processes including providing leadership of the acquisitions process.

**We're open to you**
- Deep understanding of the core principles of end to end financial processes
- A broad understanding of business processes, evaluating risks and designing and implementing controls
- Qualified accountant (minimum 3 years PQE)
- Strong leadership & coaching skills
- Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts to prepare and present concise oral and written reports
- Rounded technical skills - expertise across a range of accounting and financial areas
- Analytical skills - ability to identify core issues and provide assessments grounded in logic
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and a confident manner
- Influencing skills - the interpersonal skills to build relationships and leverage these to shape operational decision making
- Challenging others - confident in challenging others, whilst maintaining a strong, professional relationship
- Proven experience of development and improvement of control framework
- Broad commercial experience, understanding end to end business processes
- Project management
- Driving process change / improvements
