We have an excellent opportunity for an Employee Relations Consultant to join us at Hastings Direct.
We are looking for someone who has previously worked in the capacity of HR advisor/Employee Relations Consultant or someone who has experience in a Leadership role and is well versed in employee relation matters.
We operate a hybrid working model and are flexible on location providing you are within a commutable distance to our Bexhill office.
**About the role**:
The Employee Relations Consultant will play an active part in supporting leaders with our new colleague attendance policy. This will involve supporting leaders as they get to grips with the new approach, helping them to understand and undertake the appropriateactions. In addition to handling conduct, grievance and performance cases including MI analysis, action planning and individual bespoke case management strategies.
**Accountabilities**:

- Effectively manage absence, conduct and performance via informal action and formal case management.
- Successfully able to navigate our Colleague policies and processes.
- Achieve positive and reasonable outcomes for both Colleagues and the Company.
- Manage employee relation case work, including supporting and coaching leaders on best practice.
- Proactively work with leaders to drive and secure early identification and resolution of issues in our core ER areas.
- Highlight any trends from case work to support the ER Partner with addressing the issue areas, through providing effective and informative weekly reporting.
- Ensure that you (and any direct reports) are meeting customers' fair and reasonable expectations and provide fair outcomes. Question and challenge peers and managers where processes and procedures do not meet these expectations and any activity that doesnot place customers' interests at the heart of how we do business.
- Ensure that self and direct reports, if in place, achieve and demonstrate levels of competence required to fulfil job requirements.
