**Are you a Merchandiser / Junior Merchandiser ready to step up and have a real desire to join a FTSE 100 retailer in the UK?** **We have an exciting opportunity to join the B&M Buying team at the Support Centre in Speke as a Merchandiser in our FMCG Buying team with the aim of maximising sales and profit.** **With over 700 UK stores and plans for continued growth this will be a significant move for an existing Merchandiser / Junior Merchandiser.** **The Key Accountabilities in the role are**: - Accountability for the end to end process of maintaining availability and sell through for agreed lines within relevant seasonal range plans. - Forecast, phasing, arrange supply and the allocation of lines within your remit - Work directly with buyer to agree seasonal ranges and ensure volume commitments are met and phased correctly to meet the requirements of the business - Ability to work toward, & manage seasonal growth and sell through targets - Confidently liaise cross-functionally with other departments including bookings, imports, DC colleagues, higher management and stores - Plan promotions such as Feature Ends and Managers Specials to ensure the products selected are feasible (are they the right lines to promote), available (can the supplier fulfil) and timed to come in to the DC ready to allocate out to stores - Manage stock from DC to store while maximising availability, sell through and minimising mark down risk. - Confidently use Excel and B&M internal systems to create/maintain effective ways of working - Ability to work in a fast paced environment and confidently react to change at short notice - Already at Merchandiser level or as a Junior Merchandiser ready for step up - Experience working with a UK Supply base and strong category background - Really good understanding of working with short & long lead time - Good with "replen" process and working within seasonal deadlines - Build and maintain effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers - Results orientated and used to working in a fast-paced environment - Able to utilise data to fully understand seasonal trends and sales - Able to Multitask and prioritise workload to the needs of the business - Proficient with MS Excel, able to create own reports and manipulate spreadsheets **_B&M are an equal opportunities employer.
