The Pathology Clinical Delivery Group (CDG) based across both Colchester General and Ipswich Laboratory Hospital are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is professional, reliable, innovative and flexible to join our friendly team.

Training will be provided however extensive knowledge of pathology would be advantageous. A developmental role will be considered for the right applicant.

You will be based in the Immunology Service at Ipswich Hospital and be required to work a variety of shifts over a 24 hour period to help support the technical staff to maintain a safe and effective service.

We are looking for a Healthcare professional who can understand the changing services of pathology and represent the new service going forward.

The nature of this role requires extensive team working, self-management and an advanced knowledge of Specimen Reception. Training and developing others, leadership and processing referral work are key components of the role.
- Perform a range of routine and non-routine healthcare science activities under supervision, e.g. performs standard biochemical/haematological tests.
- Maintain clinical records in relation to activities carried out.
- Demonstrate own duties to new or less experienced employees.
