Temporary Accommodation Support Worker

Housing Advice and Homelessness has never been more challenging or exciting. The recent declaration of a Housing Crisis in both South Hams and West Devon has resulted in a renewed focus and drive to find creative and innovative solutions to housing need across our area.
We are seeking to appoint a Temporary Accommodation Support Worker (3 year contract) to enable our homeless customers to navigate and access the huge range of support that is available to them. Many of our customers present to us with complex and wide ranging needs. The importance of working with partner agencies is central to supporting people to reach their full potential and resolve their issues; both housing and lifestyle related.
As a team we pride ourselves on finding creative solutions to often very complex problems and we encourage innovation in all areas of our work. If you think you have the drive, the enthusiasm and the people skills to achieve the best outcomes for this customer group; then we will provide the support, the training and the team for you to achieve this.
You will need to be prepared to travel, and to work independently in the field as well as part of our wider housing team. The post attracts an essential car user allowance and travel and subsistence allowances. We can offer genuine flexible working, with a significant proportion of the role to be homeworking.
