**Job description**

We are a small family run recycling and waste management company specialising in wood and green waste recycling.

We are recruiting for a Yard Operative / FLT Driver to join our team at Caton Recycling. You will be based at our site in Sibson. The role will involve unloading and sorting waste pallets from our own transport and helping with other duties in the waste yard. This is a full-time position and the hourly rate is £12.00. The working days are Monday to Friday 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. with 30 min unpaid lunch break. The successful applicant must be flexible as will be expected to start earlier and finish later when required and also to work Saturdays when needed and so there will be plenty of opportunity for overtime.

**Role and responsibilities**:

- Unloading and sorting of waste Pallets from our curtainsider artic.
- Operate telehandler forklifts.
- General house keeping of the yard.
- Interaction with customers as part of a front-line service.
- The maintenance of allocated vehicles to a high standard of safety and cleanliness.
- General day to day duties in running a waste recycling site.
- To assist the other operatives in shredding and sorting the Green waste and wood waste.

**Essential skills and qualifications**:

- Must be physically fit due to lifting and moving the product
- FLT licence is preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
- Efficient organisational skills to work so you can work to a front-line customer service schedule.
