A brand-new, specialist SEMH school in **Horley**is looking for an experienced and empathetic **Learning Pastoral Assistant**to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the culture and support systems of a school dedicated to transforming lives.

**The Role**:

- Provide pastoral and learning support to pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH needs
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them feel safe, understood, and ready to learn
- Support behaviour regulation, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in lessons
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider pastoral teamContribute to a positive, inclusive school culture from the ground up

**About You**:

- Experience working with children or young people with **SEMH**, **autism**, or **challenging behaviour**:

- Calm, consistent, and emotionally intelligent approach
- Skilled in de-escalation, restorative practice, and trauma-informed support
- Able to work flexibly and collaboratively in a small team
- **Driver preferred**due to the school’s location and transport links
