**Hours/ Working Pattern**:25 hours per week, TTO plus two weeks (41 weeks).

**Salary/ Hourly Rate**:Grade F - Annual Salary £26,409 - £28,163 Actual Salary is £16,290 - £17,372

**Our Opportunity**

We are looking to appoint an astute and highly motivated Finance Assistant to join our central finance team who provide a full range of finance and budget management support to our schools.

This role will include a range of finance administrative tasks including the processing of purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book transactions.

You will:

- Have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Maths and English. An NVQ with finance or AAT level qualification or experience within the finance sector at this level or above is desirable.
- Support the Finance Officer/Trust Financial Services Manager (TFSM) in the day to day operations of the department including the processing of purchase ledger, sales ledger and cashbook transactions
- Advise other staff across the Trust on financial policies and procedures
- Ensure all relevant finance paperwork is completed and returned by deadlines.
- Assist in the production of financial reports for the TFSM, detailing issues and recommendations
- Support the Finance Officer to complete all Year End close down paperwork by the required deadlines.
- Support the Finance Officer in preparing for Audit inspections
- Undertake administrative duties as required
