**Job Role**: Recovery Worker - Wiltshire Services
**Salary**:£22,440 23,812 per year
**Hours**:37.5 hours per week
**Contract type**:Permanent
**Location**:Trowbridge
**Additional information**:
- On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call
**The Role**
- Julian House is seeking a full time Recovery Worker to join our small team in Trowbridge. You will need to provide a person-centred approach towards clients, working closely to aid recovery and sustain to a greater independence. The successful applicant will have experience of working with addiction and homeless clients, or in a supported housing environment. You will also need the right attitude along with flexibility, resilience and have excellent organisational skills, and understand the importance of working as part of a team.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Support clients in addiction living within Julian House recovery service (dry house)
- Develop and maintain individual recovery plans, including risk assessments
- Ensure all safeguarding procedures and service polices are followed, including drug testing, risk management and escalation in accordance with Julian House, making sure that these are met with local and national standards
- Use brief interventions in both one-one and group settings to promote engagement and increase self-esteem, wellbeing, accountability and enhance motivation
- Used structured interventions via support plans and tools to work with clients to achieve recovery goals
- Carry out the client referral and assessment process
- Ensure clients receive regular medical/clinical reviews and follow up any changes in prescribed treatment, to be integrated into recovery plans.
- Other duties as required
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- _ Experience working with substance misuse is essential_
- _ A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work_
- _ A relevant Health and Social Care qualification would be an advantage but is not required_
