Data Engineer - East Midlands
Looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a complex manufacturing company in the East Midlands. This is a home-based role that will require very occasional trips to the office for a meeting.
Reporting directly to the Head of Business Intelligence you will participate in Participate in the implementation a comprehensive, organisation-wide data strategy which will encompass how the organisation holds and manages data as a controller and as a dataprocessor.
**Responsibilities**:
*Contribute to the maintenance of existing on-prem SQL Server Data warehousing and data modelling and participate in implementation of new Cloud Warehousing, ETL/ELT
*Ensure that all data management systems are audited for data quality, integrity, completion and consent in line with the requirements set out in the data strategy and make recommendations accordingly.
*Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods
*Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modelling
*Deliver updates to stakeholders based on analytics
Essential Skills:
*At least 3 years' experience of leading on developing data / BI Systems.
*At least 1 years in a suitable Data Engineering role
*SQL Server Experience
Highly Desirable:
*Experience and understanding of software configuration management tools such as GIT
*Experience of testing automation and “use case” specifications
- Any Experience of BI and Database systems or web development, e.g. an understanding of Qlik, SQL, CSS, HTML and Jscript, Java, Python or.Net (Highly Desirable)
