Fabricator / Welder

Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Fabricator / Welder for one of our clients.

**Duties**
- Be familiar with all fabricated products of the company and being fully conversant with the fabrication and engineering drawings.
- Be proficient in the use of all welding equipment used in the Fabrication Shop.
- Engage in training to achieve minimum of a flux-core & solid wire welding qualification, where not already in place.
- Demonstrate a skillset using various hand tools which training has been provided.
- Work to achieve high quality in the assembly of component parts.
- Ensure production target output and quality is maintained.
- Interpret and verify drawings specifications to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
- Complete preventative maintenance.
- Maintaining production area housekeeping.
- Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
- Develop knowledge of all major production plant and equipment throughout the company.

**Experience / Skills**
- Time served Fabrication/Welding - Essential
- Working knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques in a similar industry - Essential
- Understanding of and ability to interpret fabrication drawings - Essential
- Understanding of welding materials and processes in accordance with ASME standards - Essential
- Retained coding’s in a range of welding disciplines - Desirable
- 5 year experience in similar position - Desirable

**Job Types**: Temporary contract, Temp to perm

**Salary**: £14.75-£16.75 per hour
