Robert Half are partnering with a market leading Catering Company located in Reading who are looking to recruit for an Infrastructure Engineer on a 6 month contract basis, with the potential to extend.

**Responsibilities**:

- The Infrastructure Engineer will designing and deploying the company's infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and vitalisation technologies.
- Ensure that the infrastructure is highly available, scalable, and secure.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Monitor the infrastructure to ensure that it is performing optimally and proactively identify and address any issues.
- Work with the security team to ensure that the infrastructure meets the company's security requirements.
- Implement automation to streamline infrastructure management and improve efficiency.
- Provide technical support to other teams and end-users as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies and make recommendations to improve the company's infrastructure.

**Profile**:
The Infrastructure Engineer should have the following,
- Ability to commute 5 days a week on site to their Reading Office
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, preferably in a large-scale environment.
- Experience with designing, deploying, and managing server infrastructure (Windows and Linux).
- Experience with designing, deploying, and managing network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls).
- Experience with storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of automation and scripting (Powershell, Python, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
