Security Supervisor

**Company Overview**

Cawingredients manufacture and supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK markets. We are looking to recruit a proactive and experienced Gatehouse Security Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the security operations at our site.

The main function of this role is to oversee the operation of the Gatehouse Security function and supervise the team of Security Operatives. Leading on standards, etiquette, and performance, ensuring effective delivery of an ambassadorial gatehouse security function.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- To monitor security operative standards of performance and behaviours
- To support security operatives in completion of their duties where required
- To develop the skills and knowledge of the team of security operatives on both new and existing practices
- Monitor security patrol routes to ensure their continued effectiveness, devising and proposing new routes as applicable, due to incidents, threats and site developments
- Complete reviews of security, safety documentation at least annually or more often if necessitated
- Keep security, operational protocols and standing instructions under continuous review to allow improvement and adaptation to benefit the site, the security team and wider organisation
- Create and present weekly security reports to the Health & Safety Director
- Maintain effective records, including but not limited to search logs, patrol logs, contravention reports and duty reports
- Lead by example on standards, behaviours and professionalism, including on delivery of an ambassadorial presence at the point of site entry
- Create and retain training logs for security operatives
- Support with the covering of security duties as required during periods of absence for security officers
- Monitor the security officer duty rota, ensuring full shift coverage
- Participate in emergency drills and cascade information obtained through such exercises to the security team
- Coordinate the security response to any relevant incidents.
- Participate in investigations on site security matters.
- Engage with external stakeholders as appropriate, on site security related matters, including neighbours, hauliers and local community security groups.
- Participate in the completion of employee development reviews for the security team
- Assist with general office administration tasks relating to the security operation of the site.
- Maintain appropriate security personnel cover on shifts, while in conjunction with the H&S Director, controlling holiday requests from the security team.
- Any other duties or tasks as per management instruction.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Security environment is required.
- Previous security supervisor or similar experience would be advantageous.
- Experience in the context of a Warehouse or Distribution FMCG business is preferable.
- Ability to deliver a strong ambassadorial security presence
- Excellent people skills and communication skills when engaging both internally and externally.
- Experience in the training and development of team members is desirable.

Pay: Up to £36,000.00 per year
