Divisional Head of Nursing

Working collaboratively with Divisional Director of Operations and Clinical Director to form a triumvirate, you will operationally manage the Division, strategically plan services and give assurance to the executive team that staff are well managed and safe, effective care is provided, and undertake this within an agreed budget.
As Divisional Head of Nursing you will provide assurances to the Executive team on the full range of clinical governance activities within the Directorate. Lead on governance activities for the division, and ensure that quality, risk and complaints are maintained and managed within Trust protocols.
As a member of the Director of Nursing’s Senior Nursing Team, the post holder will also be responsible for delivering and leading as required on trust wide nursing/quality initiatives.
The Head of Nursing is also responsible for contributing effectively to the implementation of the Professional Nursing agenda and is responsible for ensuring that the required nursing/clinical outcomes for quality patient care are met.
