Delivery/ Cellar Assistant

You will report to the Financial controller, ensuring that all goods are delivered, checked off and stored in accordance with the hotel policy and to support the porters to valet the hotel Guest cars. **Overview of the role** - To have a thorough knowledge of departmental products and facilities with a general understanding of all hotel services. - To increase product knowledge at all times with assistance from line managers - To establish a rapport with all internal team and external customers, developing customer retention. - To ensure that all stocks are rotated and displayed to hotel guidelines, ensuring that all products are served in their best possible condition. - To follow hotel procedures with regards to invoices, delivery notes, requisitions and the ordering of all products. - To ensure that your place of work is kept clear and tidy at all times, the loading bay, compactor area, cellar and office must be in an orderly layout - To operate the service of all food items within the parameters of the Food Safety Act 1990. - To carry out the temperature monitoring of all delivered food items, reporting the findings to the Head Chef, in accordance with the hotel policy. - To assist the Head Chef with any implications of the HACCP manual. - To carry out an audit on the correct quality, weight and description of ordered produce, in accordance with the agreed policies, reporting any variances to the Financial controller, Operations Manager and Head Chef. - To carry out weekly cellar balance checks, in accordance with the cellar ledger, reporting any discrepancies to the Financial Controller. - To be responsible for the cleaning of all beer lines on a fortnightly basis, notifying the Financial Controller of the reading. - To maintain the cellar ledger in accordance with the standards as agreed with the external stock takes, reporting any discrepancies to the Financial Controller. - To ensure that the security of the delivery area, cellars, beverage bonds are strictly maintained at all times. - To participate in month end stock takes by assisting the external stock takers - Valet park cars **ESSENTIAL** Must have cleaner driving license & be over 25 years old Experience of working in a stores assistant position, preferably Accuracy with numbers, with an attention to detail Ability to work as part of a team Reliable, Efficient and pro-active High levels of personal presentation and grooming **About us.** The Buxton Crescent Hotel & Thermal Spa is in situated an idyllic location within Buxton.
