**Job overview**:
**We now have a vacancy for a Catering Assistant to work in the Birches Coffee Bar and the Shop at Fairfield General Hospital.**

The hours are 20 per week shift pattern working every other weekend.

The post holder will work in the very busy Birches Café which serves a selection of hot & cold snacks and Barista style coffee. They will also work in the Shop at Fairfield General Hospital main site. On occasions they will also be asked to cover in the Broad Oak Suite staff restaurant.

**Main duties of the job**:

- Serving customers in a friendly and helpful manner as well as driving sales.
- Handling Cash and Credit card sales.
- Keeping all shelves looking well stocked and well presented.
- Keeping good stock control and rotation of stock.
- Keeping accurate documentation of HACCP temperatures and stock.
- Serving Barista Style Coffees.
- Preparing and serving hot snack.
- Keeping the shop and café at a high level of cleanliness and well presented.
- Covering in the main staff restaurant as and when required.
- At all times maintaining a high standard of customer service, treating all customers with dignity and respect.
