Weighbridge Operator

Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage the weighbridge system to accurately record and track incoming and outgoing vehicles and their loads.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as weight tickets are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Input client and haulier data into the weighbridge system accurately and deal with cash sales.
- Ensure all vehicles are within their legal weight limits.
- Visually inspect and ensure all vehicles are sheeted and loads secured.
- Communicate with drivers and other personnel to provide instructions, answer questions, and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Maintain a polite and professional approach with all customers and inform the production team of the material and tonnage requirements for each load.
- Download and upload data to accounting software on a weekly and month end basis.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including the weighbridge station and surrounding areas.
- Perform data entry tasks to record vehicle information, load weights, and other relevant data into computerised systems.
- Assist with administrative duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and organising documents.
- Liaise with contractor and internal management regarding stocks.
- Ensure stationery is stocked including toner cartridges and paper.
- Secondary role for transport planning (cover essentially).
- Assist with any other requirements as reasonably instructed.
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using computerised systems for data entry and record keeping.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with drivers and other personnel.
- Basic clerical skills such as filing, photocopying, and document organisation.

Pay: £33,500.00 per year
