**The Opportunity**:
We have an opportunity at Heysham 2 for a Outage Planner. This is a key role on station where you’ll be responsible for project planning a programme of scheduled maintenance works during shutdown periods, which keep the station safe and operating at optimal levels. In 2020 Heysham 2 generated low carbon electricity for 2.4 million homes, avoiding 3.1m tonnes of CO2 emissions, the equivalent of taking 1.4m cars off UK roads for a year.
**The Role**:
We’re looking for Planners who are collaborative, process-driven and experienced in project planning and management, to help us achieve the effective delivery of the outage maintenance programme.
Some of your duties will include:
- Managing programme schedules to incorporate risk and change
- Ensuring that the project plan supports the full project work scope, is fit for purpose and is achievable
- Integrating with all activities in each plant area, matching work scope to available resource, coordinating the use of common services and facilities within plant areas
- Identifying all cross-project links
- Managing changes to the plan during preparation phase including contingency activities
- Ensuring the plan meets compliance and safety requirement
- Providing outage reports and providing post-outage reviews to stakeholders
**The Skills**:
You’ll be experienced in project management and planning within a highly regulated environment. Knowledge of Primavera is desirable, however training will be provided.
