**Are you an experienced accounts administrator with experience working in a legal or professional services environment, who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity?**

We are looking for a friendly and client focussed individual for this vital and integral role at our market leading niche family law firm. We're looking for a meticulous individual to optimise the firms working capital position through key financial operations and administrative responsibilities.

The position will suit an enthusiastic and professional individual to join the Firm on a part-time permanent basis working out of our Milton Keynes office.

This position is Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, between the hours of 08.30am - 5.00pm.

**Key duties**:

- Producing and despatching invoices using an automated billing process
- Allocating payments received from clients
- Reconciliation of bank/credit card accounts and office petty cash
- Posting of accounting entries to various ledgers
- Taking payments from clients over the phone
- Assisting clients and fee earners with accounting queries
- Arranging client refunds
- Setting up bank payments ready for authorisation
- Liaising with our legal support team and fee earners regarding matter opening

- Already held at least one position within a legal or other professional services accounts environment but this is not prerequisite for consideration
- Proven billing experience and knowledge of the principles of bookkeeping
- Excellent client management.
- Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and compliance
- Has the confidence and ability to demonstrate excellent communication at senior levels and to liaise with all parties both internal and external, including client service skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and respect for confidentiality
- Has a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office skills particularly Excel and Word
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Resilient and committed, remaining composed under pressure
- Self-motivated with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- A quick learner with a strong work ethic
