Despatch Operative

The Despatch Operative will be responsible for the safe and efficient despatch of finished stock ensuring that Factory production deliveries are loaded in a timely and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Responsible for loading full stillages into the trailers
- Keep control of stillage returns, ensuring system is updated.
- Replenish the empty stillage locations, ensuring stillage lables are updated.
- Organise, maintain and plan the ‘Despatch’ area.
- Move stock around either by hand, ustilising lifting equipment or a fork lift truck as required in line with manual handling guidelines
- Ensure stock is picked and loaded in time to all relevant daily orders to meet agreed deadlines.
- Utilise the Despatch and yard areas efficiently and effectively
- Adhere to the company’s processes and procedures
- Complete all component orders
- Manage carrier orders
- Maintain the housekeeping standards of the components area
- Ensure all returns are booked in and returned to the correct suppliers each week

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

- Operate in a safe manner complying with health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own safety and the safety of others
- Keep Despatch area clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
- Ensure accuracy of all stock levels at all times

Hours of Work
- 08.45 - 18.00 hours Monday to Friday
- Hours above and beyond these times is expected due to delivery and collection expectations

Pay: From £26,604.83 per year
