Intermediate UX Designer

**About The Role**
Hippo is recruiting **intermediate consultants in UX design.**UXdesigners ensure that people using a service can do what they need to do, when they need to do it, in a way that is easy for them. Working with user researchers, they identify what users need from a service and use that information to inform design decisions. Champions of user-centred design, they work with other Agile team members to test and iterate designs, and advise clients on how to get the best from interaction design.

As an **intermediate consultant in UX design,**you’ll come to Hippo with strong UX design skills and some experience of advising others on how to design user-centred services. In return, we’ll provide exciting opportunities to develop further within your profession and as a consultant with clients.

**What you’ll do**
- Be part of Agile, multidisciplinary teams and work to a people-centred design process
- Design end-to-end user journeys that create the optimal user experience
- Use insights from user research and metrics to identify ‘pain points’ and improve design
- Produce user journey maps, sitemaps, navigation schema, and annotated wireframes
- Support user researchers in usability testing
- Run workshops with your team and stakeholders
- Work with the Hippo design community to share best practice

**Skills and experience that you need**
- Knowledge and desire to investigate, innovate and develop emerging design, UX and technology trends
- Strong ability to recognize and predict use-cases and user experience, including happy path, edge and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs
- Excellent understanding of user-experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work
- Experience in rapid prototyping tools, for example Sketch and Invision
- Great consultancy skills, caring about your client’s needs and motivations
- Ability to share your skills and experience with your client to enable them to continue to iterate and improve content after you leave
