We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, and reliable **Branch Apprentice **at our **Harlow Bros Branch** in **Leicester. **This is a fast-paced trade and retail environment working within a well-established team.

We are looking for someone with the following **experience/qualifications**:
I.T. proficient

Presentable, articulate and physically energetic

Punctual, Personable and hardworking

Willing to participate and Learn

The hours of work are **Monday to Friday from 07.30am to 5pm with a daily 30-minute lunch break, with an alternating Saturday morning, 8am to mid-day.**

You will report to **the Branch Management and Supervisory teams.**

As an apprentice on the **Trade Supplier Standard Level 2 Apprenticeship,** you will receive 12 months of thorough experience and training spread across all of the main aspects of the branch’s day-to-day activities. This will comprise of Yard-based training and internal Shop and Office-based training as follows:
**During your time working with our vibrant and energetic Yard Team you will be involved and receive coaching on the following aspects**:
Detailed Knowledge of our Entire Timber, Sheet and associated product range and how to Identify individual products by their dimensions and type

Timber Sizes & Timber Species including Hardwoods and Softwoods, and Specialist Sheet Materials

The characteristics and behaviours of Wood

Timber Grades

Timber Treatments and Specialist Machining Processes

Handling, Storing & Rotating of Timber Stocks

Cutting & Machining of Timber and Sheet Materials on our range of Industrial Woodworking Machines

Delegation and the mechanics of Yard Operations

Good Housekeeping Skills

Serving Customers on the Yard

Picking Orders for Collection and Deliveries

Good Health & Safety Practice

Team Working

**During your time spent working internally with the Sales Team, you will use the experience gained during your Yard Training to confidently develop and receive training on the following aspects**:
Counter sales duties - serving customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner, helping with their buying decisions by giving advice and recommendations towards the right product for the job

**The apprenticeship will last 12 months however the role will be permanent.**
