Head Barista

Head barista position here at Coffee Yard is an essential one. Our aim is to always be viewed as one of the best coffee shop destinations in the country. It will require a minimum 1 year barista experience in a fast paced environment overseeing the preparation of all hot and cold drinks prepared in-house.

Open and closing of the coffee station, getting to know your regular customers and their drinks with the overall aim of great service.

Working with our custom Linea Pb La Marzocco and Mythos Victoria Arduino grinder to dial in grind and extraction rates to ensure the perfect espresso alongside having the skills to generate the perfect micro foam for milk-based drinks.

Late art skills are an essential requirement and demonstration of these skills will be required as part of the interview process.

Coffee and milk ordering will be a responsability.

Display strong communication skills within your team whilst working in a fast-paced environment ensuring speed, efficiency and most importantly quality are maintained throughout service.

A understanding of our till system & menu will be required mainly to enable the taking of early morning orders.

44.75 hours, 5-day week

£12.69 per hour rising to £ 13.46 (from April)

(Day off will always be Sunday and one other mid week day)

Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays are a fixed required working days each week
