**Job Overview**
We are looking for an experienced mechanical fitter with experience in looking after small to medium size departments, as well as staff management / supervisory experience of up to 10 heads.

Unitruck, specialise in the manufacture of bus mirror arms, however, have a vast portfolio of other fabricated products within our portfolio.

The workshop equipment consists of Tube benders, press brakes, welding, powder coating, de greasing plant and lathes, as well as a multitude of other smaller bench/stand equipment, 85% of which are run from a compressor.

They will be able to quickly work out fix solutions for any mechanical and compressor failures, and work to a strict service schedule.

Although familiarisation training will be given, we would ideally like a confident skilled fitter ready to hit the ground running.

**Duties**
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various techniques.
- Perform Stick welding and other welding methods to join materials effectively.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to verify adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

**Requirements**:

- The Ability to manage and supervise a team of fitters.
- A strong knowledge and experience of fitting techniques and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with machine assembly, and the initiative to identify solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including recommended modifications.
- Ability to perform machine installation on site as required.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
