The Payroll Administrator is a cross-functional role, responsible for providing a consistent payroll service and support to all responsible locations and business units across the payroll department. The role will ensure accurate and timely preparation andprocessing of the company’s bi-weekly and
monthly payrolls and support enquiries from employees and line managers.
Contract - 6 months but chance to go permanent
Location - Bristol based, working from home initially but you will be required to go back into the office
Pay rate - £12/hour
Hours of work - Monday to Friday, between 17-28 hours a week
**Other key responsibilities**:
Prepares, reviews, reconciles the company’s payrolls
Corrects timesheets in an accurate and timely manner, processing off cycle payments as necessary
Complies with agreed processes and identifies any process improvements
Processes withholdings, deductions, wage deductions, or other special payroll actions and changes affecting net wages
Escalates payroll issues
Follows wage policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties
Maintains current knowledge of city, state and federal legislation affecting payroll
Contributes to the attainment of team KPIs and SLA measures
Effectively manage business enquiries including more sensitive employee enquiries
Performs related duties as assigned and completes any other tasks necessary for administering a company’s payroll process.
**What will you bring to the role? **
We’d expect you to have a working knowledge of payroll practices and people systems with prior experience operating across the UK, additional European jurisdictions will be an advantage.
Passion and dedication is key to this role, as will be the ability to work effectively with your peers across different teams and functions in a shared services environment, with a high customer service focus at all times.
What else are we looking for?
Working knowledge of payroll and practices across including statutory requirements such as year-end reporting
Experienced in working across multiple payroll entities
Experience working with third party vendors
Ability to participate and contribute to the team initiatives/objectives and drive to develop operational controls and processes
Ability to work with payroll data to analyse and identify solutions
Responsible for the timely response and resolution of enquiries from line managers and employees
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
