Executive Assistant to Managing Director

Company Overview
Our client is a Manchester based global engineering company. Owing to a recent internal promotion we are now looking to recruit an Executive Assistant to the Managing Director on a 6-month contract, with a view to going permanent following the initial 6-month term.
Key Objectives:
- Working with the Managing Director in researching and following up with action on matters which fall within the director’s responsibility - chasing responses, following up outstanding tasks etc
Brief:
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for the overall supporting function to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for building trusting relationships across the company and their global partners.
We are looking for someone who is highly efficient and responsible, who is adept in prioritisation and execution.
Qualifications:
- Qualification by experience or degree level or experience within the industry
- Have the ability and commitment to deliver excellent service
- Enjoy working with people
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- IT competent, including Microsoft & Google suites
- Have the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure, at times working independently
Key Tasks:
- Support the day-to-day work of the Managing Director
- Produce presentations, reports and analysis upon direction and request of the Managing Director
- Research, understand and keep up to date on policies relevant to the business
- Project management & support
- Provide administrative support to the other managers/departments, where required
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Managing Director
- The need for flexibility as the role dictates is a high priority
- Mail mergers

- Highly organised and efficient
- Adept in prioritisation of tasks and workload
- Adaptable to changing priorities in line with business need

- An excellent relationship builder
- IT competent (Microsoft and Google suites)
- Adept at producing presentations and reports
- Honest and operates with integrity
- A self-starter with the ability to manage numerous projects
As this role will require communication globally, additional languages would be beneficial (Spanish) although not essential.
