**ASSISTANT GREENKEEPER**

**Heswall Golf Club, Wirral**

Heswall Golf Club is a private 18 hole members Golf Club, established in 1902, on the Wirral Peninsula with stunning views across the Dee Estuary to Wales.

The Club is currently engaged in a programme of significant investment and development, including the total replacement of its irrigation system which completes shortly, and installation of new drainage on numerous holes during the winter which will be ongoing in subsequent years.

The Club is also committed to increasing its greenkeeping team through the summer season, which will result in eleven full time staff during April to September and nine full time staff the remainder of the year.

On a personal level, the Course Manager and Club are keen to ensure a programme of continual and ongoing development and training for all members of green staff.

Our Course Manager, supported by the Deputy and the rest of the team has developed a greenkeeping team with a strong work ethos, and have achieved significant results in the past twelve months in terms of course presentation and condition.

We are currently recruiting for a full time Assistant Greenkeeper to work within our team.

**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PHYSICALLY DEMANDING ROLE AND APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE THAT THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS AND ARE ABLE TO CARRY OUT ALL TASKS REQUIRED OF THEM.**

They will assist in day to day routine maintenance as directed by our Course Manager and must be willing to undertake all aspects of the role of greenkeeper.

Hours - 6am-2pm Monday to Friday. Required to work weekends on a rota basis which is paid at the agreed rate as overtime.

Salary will be £26,000 p.a. pro rata. Overtime for weekend working at the agreed rate. Uniform and PPE will be provided. On site parking is available. **Due to the early start time own transport is essential.**
