We are currently recruiting for an **Assistant Technical Services Director** to join us at the Alton Towers Resort, the UK's only attraction that specialises in making Britain happy Our employees are the driving force in ensuring we provide excellent guest service, making sure we exceed our guests' expectations.

**About the role**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an **Assistant** Technical Services Director, **reporting directly into the Technical Services Director.

You will be working in a fast-paced and guest-facing business, you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Technical Services department. You will support a team of service professionals and work to ensure that these individuals are providing quality customer service in accordance with company standards.

Our team members are enthusiastic and motivated to deliver and improve the service we provide, while having a sense of fun and community that comes from working with Merlin Entertainments and Alton Towers Resort. This role will develop over time, as there will be a shift towards predictive maintenance which will have a greater reliance on asset condition (reporting) and maintenance quality.

**Key Objectives**:

- Managing the day-to-day operations of a support services function in accordance with the Company’s mission, goals, policies and procedures.
- To evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and offering training opportunities to help employees improve their skills.
- Co-ordinating with other departments to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- To support the safety auditing function of rides and facilities pan resort
- Oversee and support the asset management function to ensure performance improvement measures can be realised.
- Oversee and support the commercial contracts management function to manage the budgets and key supplier’s contractual requirements.
- Support the development of the helpdesk and administrative function to ensure planned and reactive workflows are managed through Infor (CMMS) for the Technical Services Department.
