Job Title: DB Actuary (6 Month FTC) Location: Reigate/London/Remote The Role As the DB Actuary you will undertake pricing and actuarial input required to support delivery of DB Data True Ups and other tasks relating to in-force business. Key Responsibilities Support Head of True up in the accurate and timely delivery of data true ups. Check/review internal sign off documentation produced by the DB (Senior) Actuarial Analysts for each quotation, ensuring results are presented to the Head of True up in a clear manner, outlining all material areas of judgement and limitations. Prepare/ check /review drafts of client deliverables / data true up letters to be issued externally. Provide final pricing review/sign off for data true ups within appropriate limits as agreed by the Head of True up. Prepare/ check scheme valuations and ensure they are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. Prepare/ check individual member calculations carried out by the DB (Senior) Actuarial Analysts, to ensure they are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. Provide final pricing review/sign off for individual member calculations, within appropriate limits as agreed by Head of True up. Key Skills Experience of working within a pension consultancy or life insurance company. Strong knowledge and awareness of the pension market and relevant pensions legislation. Strong knowledge and awareness of the DB buy in/buy out market, life insurance and relevant regulation. Strong technical skills and technical knowledge of actuarial concepts (particularly those underlying bulk annuity pricing). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner
